Terms of service
Auto Content — last updated 5 September 2026
1. What this covers
Auto Content is an internal, self-hosted tool. These terms apply to the team that installs and runs it and to the members of that team who use it. There is no public service, no account registration and no fee.
2. Who may use it
Use is limited to members of the operating team, acting on social media accounts and media files that team already owns or is authorised to manage. Connecting an account you are not authorised to manage is not permitted.
3. Platform rules come first
Auto Content works through the official APIs of Meta, Google and TikTok. Use of those services remains subject to their own terms, including the YouTube Terms of Service, YouTube API Services Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Where these terms and a platform's terms disagree, the platform's terms apply.
4. Acceptable use
- Publish only content you hold the rights to publish.
- Do not use the tool to send unsolicited bulk messages, to interact automatically with other people's content, or to misrepresent automated activity as manual activity.
- Do not attempt to bypass a platform's rate limits, review processes or automated access controls.
- Respect the pacing controls the tool provides. They exist so activity stays within what each platform permits.
5. Your responsibilities as operator
- Keep the server, its credentials and its encryption key secure.
- Grant access only to people who need it, and remove access when they no longer do.
- Keep the connected accounts and their authorisations current.
6. Availability
The tool is provided as is. It runs on the operator's own infrastructure, and no uptime, performance or delivery guarantee is offered. Platform APIs may change, throttle or reject requests at any time, and posts may fail for reasons outside the tool's control.
7. No warranty and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the software is provided without warranty of any kind, and the authors are not liable for any loss arising from its use, including lost content, missed posts, or action taken by a platform against a connected account.
8. Ending use
You may stop using the tool at any time. Disconnecting an account removes its stored credentials; access can also be withdrawn directly at Google Account permissions or the equivalent page on each platform.
9. Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
